My addiction

I just had to make a quick post before work swallows me up for the rest of the day.

I have become totally obsessed with Luke/Noah. Luke more so than Noah -- Noah has grown on me, but I still like him more because he makes Luke happy than for his own sake. But I am totally obsessed with the storyline. I haven't mainlined this much of a TV show since I first discovered QAF. In less than a week, I've gone through all 109 clips of Luke's pre-Noah storyline and all 130 clips of Luke & Noah's storyline, and I can't wait to see more. I have been going on about half the amount of sleep I really need so that I would have time to do all the work I need to do and still watch the clips, but I've managed to watch everything that's been posted so far.

I love them. I really do. But still... am I the only one who feels a little like a heroin addict:

That is the perfect description! Perfect!! I keep thinking about how QaF has spoiled me forever. I'm always going to want more than they are going to give me.

Seriously! And that's just comparing clips of first kisses. Forget about all the other stuff we got from QAF that we will never get from ATWT.

Not that I'm complaining, exactly. I'm very glad ATWT is doing the Luke/Noah story, and I can't expect to see the same kind of things on CBS as I saw on Showtime. Still, it's hard not to make comparisons!

I'm not quite as addicted as I was to QaF, but let's just say that I haven't watched daytime soaps in AGES...and now I'm getting to know all the ATWT storylines again. LOL

Oh, I'm really getting into all the ATWT storylines, too. And because it's a 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year show, they really have a chance to get a little more in depth into the storylines. If you've watched the pre-Noah clips, you can see Luke go through a lot more angst and trauma, coming to terms with being gay and deciding how and when to tell his parents, than it would have ever been possible to go into on QAF.

So, yeah, in that respect, ATWT potentially has a lot more to offer. But my whole "heroin/methadone" thing was specifically about comparing clips of Luke's first kiss and Justin's and... well... yeah, I'm still going with the idea that one is heroin and the other is methadone. :D
