Thank you! I usually fastforward this scene, it's so painful... But then I read your drabble and I couldn't shake it, I kept thinking about Brian being brave at last, and how the world proved to him that he should have stayed in his safety zone... and how I'd probably blame myself, too, if I thought that sb else paid with their life for me taking risk. I just had to write it down, for my own sanity.
